There are so many wondrous, inspiring and beautiful things that have occurred in the past couple of months. From the toxic clouds that hung over human industry dissipating, to the countless acts of kindness. There has been light in the dark.
When a virion successfully penetrates a living cell, the viral rna or dna is sometimes explosively injected into its host. As an ecologist, I find the electrochemistry of the processes and the drama of the interactions absolutely fascinating. As a human I have veered wildly between states of great anxiety and optimism. This work looks darkly at the beauty of the virus / host drama at its core but is surrounded by such colour as hope may be.
